A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
seventeen, relating to authorizing the board of examiners in
counseling to promulgate a legislative rule relating to
restricted practice licensure for addictions counselors.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
seventeen, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO
PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-17. Board of examiners in counseling.

The legislative rule filed in the state register on the
twenty-eighth day of August, two thousand, under the authority of
section seven-a, article thirty-one, chapter thirty, of this code,
modified by the board of examiners in counseling to meet the
objections of the legislative rule-making review committee and
refiled in the state register on the twenty-fifth day of September,
two thousand, relating to the board of examiners in counseling
(restricted practice licensure for addictions counselors, 27 CSR
4), is authorized.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Board of
Examiners in Counseling to promulgate a legislative rule relating
to Restricted Practice Licensure for Addictions Counselors.
